Over the years, we’ve found many customers ask several great questions. We’ve compiled a list of a few of them here.

How often should I make an appointment for professional carpet cleaning?

Since your home is such a significant and important investment, your carpeting can play a large part in keeping your investment secure. Vacuuming alone can’t prevent long-term wear and tear from altering your carpet’s appearance and compromising it’s lifespan. Professional cleanings help to remove the dirt and grime that ingrains itself deeply into carpet fibers over longer periods of time.

Because dirty carpet fibers also break down faster, regular professional cleaning also helps extend the lifetime of your carpet. It is recommended to have your carpets professionally cleaned once per year. If certain areas of your home has heavy traffic, or if you have pets which track in large amounts of dirt or grime, it is worth considering just having those areas cleaned in between full room cleanings.

What can I do to prepare to get the best possible results?

Scheduling the appointment for a time when fewer people are home can help the technician work quicker. The technician will have tips, suggestions and advice, and it is recommended to follow them. Picking up toys, trash, or other small objects from the floor is also very helpful.

However, we provide expedited drying as part of our services, and actively work to speed up drying time using professional drying equipment. We may do additional drying passes throughout your home as we clean as well. We at Alamo Steam Team strive to help your carpets dry at least twice as fast!
